I am sick of it.

I am sick of spyware infecting computers. It seems all I do these days is clean spyware from computers to get them working. Education of the user community is one step to help but it is not enough. I don't like having to set up a computer with Antivirus, Spam filter, software firewall, hardware firewall , oh and don't let me forget the Windows Update. It is just rediculous that all this has to be done just to insure safe computing. It would be like before you go outside you have to put yourself into a bubble just to protect yourself from being attacked from things you cannot see.

Chime in again... I find it laughable that AOL is running ads on TV promoting their "safe" network and are what I term the most computer intrusive internet firm

little known fact... wallmart has an ISP and i call it AOL light. cost me $10.00 a month and I don't have to have all the pains that come with AOL's main program!

i tell people never use the big name virus programs because the $^*@%$^& who write these things are after "the most bang for the buck" and that means these are what they go after when they write a virus program. it's like haveing a target flash for them to hit!!! (i gave away my disk's for norton to some one i don't like! LOL)

That's alright, Doomgaze, there's other kinds of employment in I.T. Still reckon boomerang technology is the go, with a x10 amplifier to really ram the message home to the sources of these parasites. A fractured monitor and box or two would be a deterrent, don't you think? Explosives would be the go if you could add them to the boomerang Maybe even a small nuke :
